Pro Tip: Change your mindset to unlock your potential

I recently went to a holistic doctor and without going into details…one of the things that stuck with me the most was this doctor’s emphasis on observing your mindset. He said that finding ways to stay positive are just as important as eating healthy and taking care of your body.

You’ve heard me talk about mental health before on the blog before (Click here, here and here to read), but hearing it straight from a doctor recently really helped shift my perspective this month! To stay positive and feeling healthy I’ve thrown myself back into a routine where I:

  • Go to bed at a reasonable hour.

  • Take liesurely walks with my husband and pup, Jagger.

  • Workout 1-3x a week at LBS Studio solo or with a girlfriend.

  • Setup self-care appointments like my weekly blowout at 6 Salon or a facial at a local spa.

  • And ASK FOR HELP from my team :)

I know none of this is rocket science, but these are just a few things that if I go weeks without maintaining, I notice a big shift in my energy levels.

I hope this helps you realize just how normal it is for all of us to feel low energy or down in a funk every once in a while. So, whether you need to visit a doctor to hear firsthand why taking care of your mental health should be a priority (like me) or simply reading this blog helps encourage you to look at your calendar for the week and block out some quiet time; I hope this honest post reminds you we are all in different phases of life and when in doubt, getting back into a healthy routine is a very good start to finding yourself again.
