ERICA COLLICA
ASSOCIATE BROKER

I started my real estate career 17 years ago selling new construction homes in Oakland County. Barely an adult, I had big dreams and nothing to lose, with just the right mix of naïveté and determination. I transitioned to working independently as an agent in 2006, and by the end of the Great Recession, I’d built my business to the top 10% of agents nationwide. By then, I knew I’d found my calling.

I joined Max Broock in 2011, and from that moment on have fine-tuned my process and strategies to give my clients the best buying or selling experience possible.

Since moving to the City of Detroit in 2014, I’ve played an active role as an ambassador for living and working downtown. I’ve maintained business throughout the metro Detroit area and will always help clients near and far, but I’m also grateful to play a small role in helping others fall in love with living in Detroit, too. Working in real estate here gives me a great sense of pride.

The Michigan real estate market is intricate and full of varied local markets, and I’m an expert at analyzing them. I negotiate fiercely and easily build strong relationships with other agents, allowing for smoother deals from initial offer to close. My team doesn’t miss any detail, from staging and marketing aesthetic, to providing you with the right resources you might need during the moving process—cleaners, moving companies, you name it and we’ve got you covered.

When you work with me, you can expect a direct, hands-on approach with strategy, insight, and exceptional service. Bottom line? I save you stress, time, and won't leave a penny on the table. Email me.

Erica lives with her husband and their Yorkshire Maltese, Jagger, at their Brush Park townhome. Beyond real estate, her passions include: fashion, design, being active, eating healthy, and supporting other local women in business.

ABBEY MACKOOL
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

After joining The Meet Erica Team in mid-2019, Abbey quickly grew into an expanded role as Director of Operations. In addition to managing all client transactions, she works closely with Erica to continue to strategically grow the Meet Erica brand while maintaining the highest standard of services.

Abbey moved to Detroit in 2005 at 17 years old to study Business Finance and Urban Planning at Wayne State while working at Slows BarBQ – an undeniable hub of Detroit’s recent revitalization. Building on her experience, she partnered with a local Chef to open a restaurant and catering company in Corktown.

As the operating partner, Abbey became well versed in managing client expectations, vendor relations and sales. This entailed negotiating proposals and contracts, marketing and brand development and executing web and print design and more. She obtained all state and local licensing required for the business, including processing change of use for the restaurant.

Following her passion for interior design, home renovations, and historic architecture, she launched her real estate career in 2017 as a licensed assistant under the wing of one of the top-producing agents in Detroit. Abbey was responsible for managing media, listings, marketing, contract processing, client relations and reporting, and more for nearly a dozen rehab and new construction condo projects in the city of Detroit, ranging in size from 10-100 units. In 18 months, she handled over $30M in transactions.

Abbey is an indispensable multi–tasker: developing and implementing strategic marketing and events; working with attorneys on NEZ certificates and condo docs; processing sales; and seamlessly interfacing with developers, agents, buyers, sellers, lenders, title companies, contractors, property managers, designers and stagers.

Abbey lives in a historic loft in Detroit’s Rivertown neighborhood with her two-year-old daughter, Mia. She’s still passionate about food and loving the continued renaissance in Detroit’s culinary scene.

AFTER 9 YEARS WITH THE COMPANY, I’M PROUD TO BE AN ASSOCIATE BROKER OF DETROIT’S MAX BROOCK OFFICE.

Established nearly 125 years ago in Detroit, Max Broock is known for their high standard of services offered to every client. Newly back in the city and with over 25 offices in the Metro-Detroit area, Max Broock is uniquely positioned to facilitate energized buyers actively searching for a perfect Detroit home on the local, national and global scale.

It was 1895 when a young Max Broock, age 24, got his start selling desirable farm property just outside the city in an area that later became part of historic Virginia Park. In 1905, the Max Broock House was built at 233 Erskine Street in Historic Brush Park and his offices were in the Breitmeyer- Tobin building, now known as Harmonie Center.

Realizing the power of branding, Max renamed the prestigious East Chicago Blvd in 1910, marketing the neighborhood to his clients as it’s now known – Arden Park. His intentional use of the Woodward Avenue frontage as open space was an important design decision and an excellent selling point. Max Broock’s commitment to and impact on the city of Detroit still resonates today.

In 2002, Max Broock joined the Real Estate One Family of Companies. The merger combined two third-generation family brokerages and the extensive market knowledge they both possess. Those resources fuel the authenticity of Max Brook Detroit today.
