Maria Dasaro Attar (pictured in a stunning pink number above) is a premier stylist and the owner of Dawood Boutique, located off Kercheval Ave. in Grosse Pointe (and one of the midwest’s best-kept secrets…). Dawood Boutique specializes in special-occasion dresses and luxury essentials in categories ranging from swimwear and loungewear to tops, athleisure wear, and accessories!

Maria’s grandmother Bettie Dawood always had a dream of opening a boutique, and in 1960 made that dream a reality inside the original Book Caddilac Hotel in downtown Detroit. Four years later, a second store was opened in the Hilton Hotel.
After both hotels closed, Dawood Boutique found a new home in today’s Grosse Pointe, Michigan location, where the family has set a milestone of being the best-kept secret in the midwest.
As a family-owned and operated business for over 60 years, the Dawood family has shopped the market from New York, Montreal, and Europe to bring their clientele a stunning array of clothes. They combine the glamour of Beverly Hills, with the sophistication of New York.
