Pro Tip: How To Celebrate Your Significant Other's B-Day As A Hostess With the Mostess...
My husband Kyle Swink celebrated a birthday this month, so we invited people over to hangout on our patio for some cocktails and tacos! I can’t recommend local Detroit Mexican restaurant El Asador enough…I ordered a spread of food and was so impressed by how much came with our order! Everything was so fresh and delicious.
Plus, who doesn’t love tacos? I love hosting people for small or large events, but I think it’s so important to have food that appeals to all taste buds. Tacos fit this perfectly because you can order a variety of veggie/vegan/meat options! Go support El Asador if you want to have a successful party :) I promise your guests will be impressed.
In addition to good food - I love to have a mix of hard seltzers, wine, beer, and sparkling waters! Water = key, because I’ve noticed more and more people are looking for non-alcoholic/mocktail options. I make a sparkling non-alcoholic punch that’s pretty (and tasty!), so that way people can add their own liquor if they wish or those who aren’t drinking can feel included as well :)
Use this recipe for the mocktail punch and feel free to swap out or add in any of your favorite juices or fruits. It only takes 5 minutes to make and will make 25 generous servings :)
RECIPE:
2 quarts chilled cranberry juice
1 (6-ounce) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 liter chilled sparkling water
Citrus and seasonal fruits (e.g., orange and lemon slices, firm berries), for optional garnish
